The Rio Grande do Norte Finance Department (SEFAZ-RN) issued a statement, this Wednesday (9), explaining the current situation of Electronic Tax Documents authorized by Sefaz Virtual (SV-RS), which is located in Rio Grande do Norte. Due to the damage caused by the tragedy of the floods in the capital, Porto Alegre, documents stopped being transmitted virtually to other states, preventing processing by the RN Treasury and, consequently, the viewing of the electronic invoice by taxpayers and consumers.
The note released by SEFAZ-RN informs taxpayers and users of the Nota Potiguar application about the temporary unavailability of viewing electronic tax documents. Since the 6th, the finance departments of other states have stopped receiving confirmation of the authenticity of electronic tax documentation due to the damage caused by the downpour at the SV-RS datacenter.
The unit has been operating the Electronic Invoices (NF-e) system since 2010 and is facing problems of interruption in information traffic for the first time, which could end up resulting in instability and/or inconsistency in some systems at the Rio Grande do Norte Treasury.
On social media, the Rio Grande do Sul Finance Department (SEFAZ-RS) published a tutorial guide for affected taxpayers. In the publication, Fazenda Gacha highlights the importance of adjusting network configurations and firewalls to facilitate the issuance of electronic tax documents and provides URLs for assistance.
SEFAZ-RN has already sent guidelines to accountants in Rio Grande do Norte, reinforcing the necessary procedures in case of any difficulty in verifying the issuance of a separate electronic invoice (NFA-e) or in the manual registration of tax documents.
Guidelines for Accountants:
Checking in Case of Technical Difficulties: Check pending updates or failures in the company’s own system in case of problems with issuing or receiving the NF-e.
Provisional Solution:Issue a separate electronic invoice (NFA-e) through the SEFAZ-RN website if technical difficulties persist after initial checks.
Manual Registration:Carry out manual registration of tax documents until the system is normalized, if it is not possible to issue an NFA-e.
