The Module II Minas Gerais Championship will not have, for the second consecutive year, representatives from Vale do Rio Doce. The competition starts next weekend.

The clubs in the region with the greatest presence in professional football most frequently in recent years are América de Teófilo Otoni, Democrat, Ipatinga, Novo Esporte and Valadares Esporte Clube.

Teófilo Otoni’s América has been in the Second Division of Minas Gerais for four consecutive years (which, despite its name, represents the third tier of the state).

This season, the Democrat guaranteed their stay in the first division for the fourth consecutive year.

Novo Esporte and VEC are organizing to participate in the Second Division this season. Quero-Quero has not competed in the tournament since 2022. Águia has not participated since 2019.

The absence of clubs from the East of Minas in Module II ends next season, as Ipatinga was relegated in the first division of the Campeonato Mineiro and will compete in the competition in 2025.
