Imepi carries out action at a school in the southeast zone of Teresina

The Piauí State Metrology Institute (Imepi) carries out a series of educational activities for students at the Deputado Tertuliano Milton Brandão School Unit, located in the Southeast zone of Teresina, this Wednesday (24) until April 26.

The event program includes lectures on the services offered by Imepi in the areas of Metrology, Quality and Pre-measurements. According to the general director of Imepi, Patrícia Leal, the objective of the action is to provide opportunities for the promotion of socio-educational activities and provide students, teachers and other members of the academic community with details of the agency’s consumer protection inspection actions.

“We are going to take the necessary care when making a purchase in different areas to the academic space. This exchange of experiences is extremely valuable, as we are able to bring the agency’s employees closer to the general population and highlight all the inspection services promoted at Imepi”, he explains.

According to Imepi’s ombudsman and one of the event’s organizers, Antônia Ferreira, the lectures are part of the 2nd edition of the DNA Verde project. In the first stage, held between April 24th and 26th, inspectors from the agency carry out a series of socio-educational activities in school environments. Then, on World Environment Day, celebrated on June 5th, 3rd year high school students at the Milton Brandão School Unit present the results of scientific research aimed at preserving the environment to the Institute’s employees.

“The DNA Verde project arose from Decree No. 22,128, of 2023, which established the Environmental Agenda in the State’s Public Administration. In the first edition, we brought the ecological agenda to the internal space of Imepi. In this second edition we intend to bring the agency closer to students from public schools in Piauí and together we will debate the importance of the agency’s inspection services, in addition to promoting actions in favor of the environment”, he highlights.

June 5: D-day of the DNA Verde project – presentation of scientific research to IMEPI employees at the organization’s headquarters.
