Already champion, Bayer Leverkusen beats Frankfurt and is close to an undefeated campaign

This Sunday (05), for the 32nd round of the German ChampionshipO Bayer Leverkusen visited the Frankfurt at Deutsche Bank Park and scored 5-1. The winning goals were scored by Granit Shaka, Patrik Schick, Exequiel Palacios, Frimpong and Boniface, while Hugo Ekitike scored the home team’s only goal.

Now, the club, which reached 84 points, has 26 wins and six draws in 32 duels played. On the other hand, Frankfurt was stuck in sixth place, with the same 45 achieved.

Encouraged, the team returns to the field to face the Pomegranate next Thursday, for the second leg of the semifinal of the Europa League. Frankfurt visits the Borussia Mönchengladbach next Saturday, in the Bundesliga.

The goals

The first was scored by Granit Shaka, at 12 in the initial stage. The athlete took advantage of the surplus at the edge of the area and sent a beautiful shot into the goalkeeper’s left corner.
