Shooting ends with young man dead and woman injured in southern SC

An 18-year-old man died and a woman was injured in Jacinto Machado, in the south of Santa Catarina, in the early hours of Saturday (4). They were hit by gunfire. The authorship or motivation for the crime is not yet known.

The 43-year-old woman was injured, but her life was not at risk. The young man died at the scene.

According to the Military Police, he was from Santa Catarina and had convictions for theft, threats, robbery, bodily harm and drug trafficking. She, also from Santa Catarina, had convictions for arson, damage, threats, criminal acts, insult, theft, reception, contempt and bodily harm.

The Civil Police must now investigate the case.

Homicide in Penha

Also on Saturday (4), in Penha, on the North Coast, a man died and another was injured by gunfire. They were in a car, on Avenida Eugênio Krause, when they were approached. The gunman was in another vehicle.

One of the victims, whose identity was not revealed, died at the scene. The other was taken alive to the Emergency Room by the Fire Department. There is no information about his health status.

The Civil Police are still investigating the authorship and motivation of the crime. Both victims, according to the PM, had police tickets. A firearm was found in the car where the victims were.
