Rede Medical is implementing the first Robotic Surgery Center in Tocantins. The system is expected to start operating in the first half of this year. With it, Rede Medical will be the first to perform robotic surgery in the state.
Suitable for surgeries in urology, gynecology, coloproctology, digestive system surgery, thoracic surgery and general surgery, the robot can benefit patients with reduced post-operative pain, reduced blood loss during the procedure, shorter hospital stay and faster return to daily activities. In prostate surgery, for example, it is possible to have a more detailed view of fundamental structures to optimize the preservation of sexual potency and urinary continence.
In Tocantins, the Rede Medical center will have the da Vinci® better visualization of noble structures such as blood vessels;
The system reproduces movements for robotic instruments that become more precise and reach difficult positions with a greater range of movement than the human wrist. The incisions are smaller than traditional surgery.
