Maierovitch explains what the five-year period is and highlights that it is not provided for in the CLT (Consolidation of Labor Laws).

The five-year period is a reward for loyalty to service, engagement and for those who do not miss and remain for 5 years. This premium is not provided for in the CLT, but is also applied in collective worker agreements. Its nature as a prize seems legitimate to me, there is no doubt in my view of it. It’s a prize, it’s a stimulus. Wálter Maierovitch, UOL columnist

Now let’s get to the distortions. Our Constitution is republican and what is the basis of the Republic? The principle of equality, everyone is equal before the law. This PEC will benefit the pockets of judges, prosecutors, police chiefs and auditors’ court advisors. There is already a flagrant violation of the principle of equality. It is obviously a non-republican principle. Wálter Maierovitch, UOL columnist
