Public Ministry of ES must always be in the direction of the population

Therefore, the Public Prosecutor’s Office must always be close to the population, with its doors open to their demands, which, let’s face it, are not few. An active and active Public Prosecutor’s Office in the defense of collective interests lives up to the “public” it carries on its emblem. It thus leads the struggles of the entire society.

The speech by the new head of MPES highlighted public security: “The population of Espírito Santo wants to live in peace, move freely and without fear. The criminal activity of the Public Prosecutor’s Office is fundamental so that our state can advance even further in public security” . In an interview, he discussed investments in the Special Action Group to Combat Organized Crime (Gaeco).

The lack of security and growing crime directly affect the population, certainly being one of the greatest social afflictions. But there are battles in other fields that are also sensitive in Espírito Santo: the protection of the environment, the guarantee of quality health and education for all, the defense of consumer rights, the fight against corruption and the lack of transparency in public authorities.

It is important to invest in technology, as the new attorney general has already announced. Good management of human resources is expected, so that all these demands, which never stop growing, are met. But it is also essential that the Public Ministry sets an example, with transparency and efficiency.

This is how prosecutors and prosecutors will be in the same direction as the population’s desires. This is how the Public Prosecutor’s Office positions itself as a protagonist when society’s interests are under threat. And this is how the population expects to always count on MPES.
