A camera monitoring the night sky in Monte Castelo (SC), a city about 333 kilometers from the capital of Santa Catarina, recorded the moment when a “shooting star” exploded during the night of Monday, 1st.
The phenomenon is actually a meteor that entered the Earth’s atmosphere, which is popularly known as a “shooting star”.

The video, which was released on Instagram from the Monte Castelo monitoring camera, shows the moment when the meteor becomes visible in the Santa Catarina sky and explodes after approximately four seconds of falling. It all happened around 9:26 pm.
The cameras available in Monte Castelo are from BRAMON (Brazilian Meteor Monitoring Network). It was estimated that this Monday’s phenomenon occurred in the city of Joinville.
