Hilux stolen in Santa Catarina is recovered by PRF

-

Around 6 am this Tuesday morning, (04/30), on BR 163 km 276, in Quatro Pontes, a PRF team approached a Toyota Hilux with Cascavel license plates.

The 20-year-old driver, from Major Vieira/SC, and the 30-year-old passenger, from Joinville/SC, were nervous and this motivated the team to inspect the cargo compartment.

During the inspection, the attention of highway patrol officers was drawn to the fact that only female belongings were found, while the occupants were male.

When consulting the vehicle’s identifying items, it was found to be a truck with a theft alert on April 28, 2024 in the city of Balneário Piçarras/SC.

During a personal search, the driver found a chip in his possession to start the vehicle by decoding the original key.

The incident was forwarded to the Civil Police of Marechal Cândido Rondon.
