O government of Rio de Janeiro and the Chinese giant Yadea signed a letter of intent to install an industrial and technological complex in the state, the first in Brazil, intended for the manufacture of motorcycles, scooters, scooters, bicycles and other two-wheeled vehicles in the state. The initiative will create a new technological hub in the state, contributing to the creation of three thousand new jobs for the people of Rio de Janeiro.
“Rio de Janeiro has become a natural destination for large investments. Today, we have more than R$107 billion in public and private investments in progress, and this is a result of fiscal responsibility and the stable and legally secure business environment that we have established in the state“, stated the Governor Cláudio Castro.
Yadea is a global leader in the development and manufacturing of electric two-wheeled vehicles. The automaker has already sold products to 60 million users, in more than 100 countries, and has a network of more than 40 thousand retailers around the world. The company is responsible for 31% of all electric motorcycles produced in China, a country with more than 1 billion inhabitants.
According to the Yadea representative, Zhou Ke, the implementation of the industrial complex will certainly attract other companies to the state. “Our intention is to bring in suppliers of parts and materials to reduce costs and support the operations of our factory in Rio de Janeiro“, – he stated.
