Teca has premonitions on the farm
Since Teca, Buba and José Augusto arrived at José Inocêncio’s farm, we have watched the pregnant young woman feel various premonitions, some good and others not so much. In chapter 86, this feeling becomes even stronger and more abrupt, being awakened by triggers that other characters bring to the plot.

Accompanied by João Pedro, Teca returns to Morena’s farm, a place that brought her strange and bad feelings, and which formerly belonged to Colonel Belarmino. A possible explanation for the young woman’s feeling is because Marianinha lived in that same place, who has a blood connection with Teca.
Teca’s grandfather could be Bellarmine
What happened to Marianinha?
In the 1993 version, we don’t have many details about the life of Maria Santa’s sister, just reports and rumors from other characters saying that she was abused by her father, got pregnant by him and was kicked out of the house. And at the end of the novel it is not clear whether it was really Venâncio who committed this crime against his own daughter or whether someone else was involved.
In the remake, this story can be extended and bring new paths that have previously been little explored about the trajectory of this character who is mentioned in the first phase of the soap opera. And Teca, it seems, will be a bridge between the past life, with Marianinha, and the current time.

Teca doesn’t know it yet, but she is Marianinha’s granddaughter. And now in the lands of Jequitibá-Rei, she will show us her grandmother’s past through visions that could be regressions or a sign that she is reincarnated herself, something that did not happen in the original soap opera.
In one of the scenes we see Morena offering a juice to the young woman and when she says the word soursop, Teca is paralyzed and sees Marianinha, still young, swinging from the fruit tree when, suddenly, a hand with a machete appears on the scene and cuts the swing ropes. The scene is quick, but you can see a ring similar to the one Colonel Belarmino wore on his pinky.

And as was said in the soap opera, Marianinha and Quitéria worked on the farm. Furthermore, there is a rumor that the colonel abused the girl, which explains this bad feeling in Teca.
In another scene, the young woman listens to the legend of Boi Bumbá told by Inácia. As they talk, Teca asks about the details of the story and finds out a little more about Maria Santa. However, when she hears the name Venâncio, who is the father of Maria Santa and Marianinha, she drops the mug on the floor and runs around the house.
