An accident between two cars left six people dead on BR-251, in Unaí, this Sunday (31). The head-on crash occurred at KM 945.
According to information from the Military Highway Police, one of the vehicles, a renegade jeep, which left Brasilândia de Minas (MG) for Brasília (DF), was carrying five people, two of whom died at the scene. The others were taken to the Unaí Municipal Emergency Room by teams from the Fire Department and Samu with abrasions and fractures.
The 40-year-old driver told police officers that he aquaplaned when returning to his steering wheel after overtaking. He then lost control of the steering wheel and crashed head-on into the other car.
According to PMRv, the other car, a goal, had four occupants, all of whom died. None of them carried documents, but after surveys, the PMRv obtained the phone number of a soldier from the Brasília Fire Department from the owner of the vehicle, who identified himself as the father of the driver and father-in-law of a passenger. He sent photos of both their documents. The other victims were taken to the Legal Medical Institute without identification.
