MS team finishes Brazilian Women’s Volleyball Championship in 5th place – Sports

Mato Grosso do Sul’s under-18 volleyball team beat Maranhão, this Sunday (31), and secured 5th place in the Brazilian Women’s First Division Championship. The winning match was three sets to one. The team won three of the six games played in the Brazilian National Team Championship that took place in Maringá (PR).

For the coach, Samir Ismail, the lack of experience in national competitions and the emotional shock affected the girls, influencing the result. According to him, the team fluctuated in the matches but won at least one set in every match.

In the Brazilian National Team Championship, the team beat Bahia, Espírito Santo and Maranhão. The defeat was for the teams from Pará, Paraíba and Ceará.

The cast is made up of setters Bianca Martins and Aghata Nadalin, wingers Bruna Herdina, Ana Gandolfi and Maria Santana, central players Maria Eduarda, Victória Berbert and Ana Carolina, opposites Heloisa Basso and Ana Luisa, and libero Julia Rosa and Maria Gill .
