After record net revenue of R$1 billion in the year, the brand plans to open a thousand stores in Latin America, including in cities in Minas Gerais

The laser hair removal segment is booming in Minas Gerais. The state is already the third largest location for Espaçolaser in Brazil, one of the pioneering brands in the sector with almost 20 years of history.

Of the 789 company-owned stores and franchises in the country, 70 are concentrated in cities in Minas Gerais, such as Belo Horizonte It is São João del Reiin the Central region and Barbacenain Campo das Vertentes, in addition to Paracatu It is Unai, in the northwest of the state – the two most recent municipalities with brand openings. The objective, according to the company, is reach a thousand stores in Latin Americawith expansions planned in several states in Brazil, including Minas Gerais.

According to Espaçolaser’s franchise director, UggoAngioletti, the recent openings in Minas Gerais represent another significant step in the network’s expansion project.

In 2023, the company obtained annual growth of 7% in total gross sales, reaching R$1.6 billion in revenue. In relation to net revenue, the brand celebrated a new record, totaling R$ 1 billion in the yearan increase of 8% compared to 2022.

The good results, according to the company, come from initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costs and expenses. These actions, combined with sales growth, boosted operational leverage. Adjusted EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) totaled R$213.1 million in the year, an increase of 39% over the previous year.

Espaçolaser presents significant growth among the male audience

Currently, the female audience represents 87% of the customer base from Espaçolaser. Despite totaling only 13%, the company observes a growth trend among men.

Benefits such as practicality, aesthetics and improved sporting performance are being highlighted by the brand. To this end, Espaçolaser has been adopting strategies such as segmenting communication in search of long-term loyalty from this audience.

New management expands space for diversity

In recent days, the company announced a new manager: the new CEO, Magali Leite – first woman to hold the position. The initiative reinforces the company’s efforts to combine executive excellence with diversity.

According to the company, of the 20 seats on the company’s board of directors, 12 are held by women, four of which are statutory, out of the five positions. With a team of around 4,700 direct employees (own stores and administration), 95% are women. Furthermore, of the 908 middle leadership positions in the Company, such as managers and coordinators, 92% are held by women.
