In the interview with the Daily Mail, the woman denied that she is a stalker as Bebê Rena portrays and said that she could take legal action against him: “Richard Gadd has ‘main character syndrome’. He always thinks he’s at the center of things. I’m not writing shows about him or promoting them in the media, am I? If he wanted me to be properly anonymous, he could have this. Gadd should leave me alone.”

Richard Gadd had asked on his Instagram that Baby Reindeer fans stop trying to look for the real people. “People I love, worked with and admire (including Sean Foley) are being unfairly accused for speculation. That’s not the point of our show.” But it doesn’t seem like it did much good, does it?

Consisting of seven episodes, Bébê Rena follows the story of comedian, performer and writer Donny Dunn (Richard Gadd), who becomes involved with Martha (Jessica Gunning), a vulnerable woman who is going through her own problems. This quick and distorted relationship ends up leading to a strange obsession, which impacts both of their lives and forces Donny to face a deep and dark trauma in his life.
