Murilo Couto announces departure from The Noite and cries: “10 years at his peak”

Murilo Couto announced his departure from The Noite, on SBT, after ten years on the program. The comedian used Instagram this Friday (26) to thank his colleagues for their long-term partnership. “Today I just want to say thank you. There were 10 years of The Noite, on SBT, and three more of Agora é Tarde na Band. Yesterday the last program aired with me officially in the cast. Just writing it makes me cry again”, he began.

The comedian thanked Danilo Gentili for his friendship and experience in front of the camera over the last decade. “You are a true friend, a genius at work and an unbelievable partner outside of it. From the first test for Agora é Tarde to the last program on The Noite. What you did for me doesn’t exist. I love you, man,” he stated.

In the publication, Murilo Couto mentioned each of the members of The Noite and made a point of highlighting the competence of director João Mesquita for the success of the program. “Thank you, João Mesquita and the entire team from the best program on Brazilian TV. 10 years without falling, 10 years renewing and innovating, 10 years remaining at its peak. Thank you to the entire stage team, playing a recording always full of bizarre things, and disturbed people! I miss you telling me to put on a woman’s dress or get into a hot costume quickly because the guest is already arriving (in 3 hours)”, he joked.

“Thank you to the external team who gave me shit recording stories in the most rotten places and most random fairs in Brazil. Thank you to the brilliant script team who writes and explains the jokes so that we can make fun of the screen later and say that it was improvised. Thank you to the team that produces the guests, who, despite all the difficulties, succeed in any talkshow and podcast that has existed or will exist”, he continued.

“Thank you to everyone who has watched the show for so many years. You are part of very important moments in my life. Thank you,” she concluded.

According to the NaTelinha portal, Murilo Couto decided to follow a new professional path outside of television. He is set to go on an international tour with his stand-up comedy show, in addition to investing in his YouTube channel, where he has more than 2.3 million followers.
