The application of Google Gemini was recently released for devices running Android, as you may already know. Initially, the company’s AI app was only available for devices with system version 12 or higher. But now, it can also be installed on cell phones with older versions of the software.
Specifically speaking, users who have a smartphone with Android 10 or 11 can count on Gemini. This way, just go to the Play Store, download, install and configure the artificial intelligence to work in the same way as the Google Assistant on the device.
The latest version of the app, number 1.0.626720042, details the requirements to be able to install the app. Therefore, it was possible to confirm that the application will run on devices with Android 10 or newer. According to user Artem Russakovskii and others on X (formerly Twitter), the app runs without crashes.
The application description on the Play Store, in turn, does not mention this change. However, this should be changed soon, as the aforementioned version is now available in the store for download. So, anyone who hasn’t updated or installed the app on their device yet can try taking the test.
