Businessman Gilberto da Silva, 38 years old, was shot dead last Friday morning (26) as he arrived in front of his residence, still under construction, in the Santa Luzia neighborhood, in Barreiras.
According to information from the Blog Braga, partner of Bahia Notícias, the crime was committed by two unidentified individuals who were on a motorcycle. Reports indicate that the criminals approached Gilberto and fired shots that resulted in his death.
After the incident, the area was isolated by the Military Police, who were called to respond to the incident. A team from the Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU) attended the scene and confirmed the businessman’s death.
The Homicide Department began investigations into the case, while the Technical Police Department (DPT) carried out forensic procedures on both the victim’s body and the crime scene. During the investigation, six .380 caliber pistol cases were collected. Gilberto da Silva’s body was removed to the DPT morgue for an autopsy.
The street where the homicide occurred has security cameras, which could assist in investigations carried out by the police.
