About Covid-19

Araraquara registered another 44 positive cases of Covid today, March 27, equivalent to 18% of a total of 241 samples analyzed during this period, in public and private health services, from symptomatic and asymptomatic patients.

Therefore, Araraquara now has 6,831 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in 2024.

Today, there are 11 patients hospitalized: 4 in the ICU (2 from Araraquara) and 7 in the ward (6 from Araraquara). Three patients are from another municipality.

The municipality recorded 15 deaths resulting from Covid-19 in 2024.

We reinforce that people with symptoms of respiratory syndrome (runny nose, fever, malaise, headache, cough) must wear masks from the first symptoms to avoid contamination and seek care at one of the 3 UPAS in Araraquara to carry out the test. Actions to combat the mosquito that transmits dengue fever and other diseases in the municipality continue to be intensified. However, a task force from City Hall and the community is needed to eliminate breeding sites.

Regarding properties and blocks visited, unusable items removed and hotspots eliminated, the data will be updated weekly.

Therefore, from the beginning of 2024 until this week, 125,594 properties were visited by our Endemic Vector Control Agents and Community Agents. During this same period, 287,400 kilos of unusable materials were removed, potential breeding grounds for Aedes.
