— Horrible debut. We come from two very bad Sergipe TVs. We knew the importance of the game. Everyone against everyone, a small group. Therefore, we knew that the three points would be fundamental. Unfortunately, we didn’t play a good game and we didn’t put into practice what we worked on in the middle of the week. Now it’s time to focus and lift our heads because we don’t have time to regret. Thursday, against Simão Dias, we have to win anyway because otherwise we will get very complicated in the Super Cup — he said.

Despite the goalkeeper’s good performance, he was also criticized from the stands. In fact, many seats at the Governador João Alves Filho Gymnasium were empty. In the last two editions of the Copa TV Sergipe de Futsal, the Itaporanga team did not even pass the group stage.

— We have to listen because this is high-performance futsal. I couldn’t avoid our defeat, but I played a good game as everyone saw. Regarding the fans, this reflects a lot on our last Copa TV Sergipe. The gym was open, free and we weren’t even 50% full because of our latest editions. We’re going to have to work and change this at home — he said.

— This doesn’t depend on the mayor or the coach, it depends on us players, because it’s already getting ugly. The fans came to support, but when we get here, they do something like this. I’m not running away from responsibility, I’m including myself, because I get paid for it, but I think it’s getting really ugly. Here we have to fight and take responsibility, because everyone receives it, and we have to change that on the court — he added.

Itaporanga returns to the court next Thursday, when it hosts Simão Dias’ team, at 8pm, at Ginásio Governador João Alves Filho.
