The Samsung Galaxy S24+ has gone through camera test of DxOMark and the results were released this week. With 133 pointsthe model remained in 40th position in the ranking on the website, tied not only with the base model of the line, but also with its equivalent from the previous generation: the Galaxy S23+.
Despite being far from the top 10, the result was enough to surpass models like the iPhone 12 Pro Max and the Galaxy S22 Ultra. The leader of the ranking, it is worth remembering, is the Honor Magic 6 Pro, which obtained 158 points in the evaluation and surpasses the Huawei Mate 60 Pro+ by 1 point. As its score was the same as its smaller brother, the test images will also represent the larger device.

Among the positive points, DxOMark highlighted the exposure performance in photographs in most test conditions, as well as contrast. Likewise, photos with good lighting and indoor environments showed good colors in general.
The website also praised the model’s autofocus performance, which proved to be accurate in most photography conditions. Furthermore, the artifacts remained under control throughout the evaluation.

As for cons, DxOMark stated that the S24+ captured results with the presence of noise, whether in photos or videos. Contrary to what happened with good lighting, the colors were less accurate than expected, as was the color shading.
Artifacts were also highlighted here, appearing in the results with changes in tones, as well as flare and other fusion artifacts. Finally, the focus was a point highlighted negatively by failing at times when capturing videos with the device.

The performance of the Galaxy S24+ cameras was considered good and made considerable progress compared to previous generations of the Galaxy S line.
