Playstation exclusive ‘Predator: Hunting Grounds’ is finally coming to Xbox

It was in April 2020 thatand Predator: Hunting Grounds made its debut on PlayStation 4 (and PC), and now it will finally receive a version for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S – although only at the end of the year.

The news was announced today by developer IllFonic, along with plans to implement several gameplay improvements and add more DLC next year. As you may remember, Predator: Hunting Grounds was originally published by Sony Interactive Entertainmentbut the rights are now back in the hands of IllFonic and 20th Century Games.

Here’s what IllFonic’s CEO said in a press release a few hours ago:

“This game has a strong player base and enthusiastic community that wants to see the game updated and supported. Now that IllFonic is publishing games, we knew we needed to bring Predator: Hunting Grounds back. We knew we needed to get back to Chopper!”

Unfortunately, of all the Sony-owned games that could be brought to the Xbox, Predator: Hunting Grounds is one of the most poorly rated. The game has a Metacritic score of 56 for PS4 and 62 for PC.

However, time has passed since thenand the version Steam currently has a c“mostly positive” average ratingso there’s reason to check this game out again when it hits Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S in late 2024.

“Hunt or be hunted in this asymmetrical multiplayer shooter that pits man against the Predator. As part of a squad, complete missions before the Predator finds you. In other words, be the Predator and hunt your prey.”
