Cruzeiro launched, this Friday (26/4), the team’s number two shirt for the remainder of the 2024 season and the start of the 2025 season, signed by sports supplier Adidas.
The uniform, in white, brings references to one of the main tourist attractions in Belo Horizonte: the Church of São Francisco de Assis, better known as Igrejinha da Pampulha, located in Bairro Liberdade, Pampulha Region. Founded in 1945, the sanctuary was designed by iconic architect Oscar Niemeyer and has external panels in blue and white tiles, painted by painter Cândido Portinari.
The church’s external tiles are the main inspiration for Cruzeiro’s new shirt, which has references to painting on the sleeves and collar. The uniform features the five loose stars and the Adidas brand on the top.

Cruzeiro published a photo shoot with the new shirt in front of the Igrejinha da Pampulha. In addition to the models, striker Byanca Brasil, midfielder Rebeca Costa and defender Vitória Calhau posed in the uniform. No athlete from the men’s team participated in the rehearsal.

New shirt had already leaked
Cruzeiro’s new uniform had been leaked on social media this Thursday (25/4). However, there was still no confirmation of the shirt’s authenticity.
Before it was made official, Cruzeiro’s main shirt this season, in blue, also had images leaked before its launch in early March.
Cruzeiro and Adidas in 2024
In 2024, Cruzeiro and Adidas had already launched the blue game uniform and training models for players and coaching staff. Now, shirt two joins the group.
Throughout the year, there is still the possibility of new launches: in 2023, for example, the club launched four game shirts. In addition to the main and reserve uniforms, uniform three was also launched in August, in light blue, and a uniform in reference to Black Consciousness Month in Brazil, in November.
