In a formal session held on Tuesday night (7), the Legislative Assembly of Mato Grosso (ALMT) awarded honors to personalities from the most diverse areas of activity who contribute to the development of the state. The session was requested by deputy Faissal Calil, author of the honors granted. In total, 48 personalities received the honors, including Dante de Oliveira Commendation (1), Marechal Rondon Commendation (2), Mato Grosso citizen titles (14) and applause (31).
The requester for the special session, deputy Faissal Calil, recalled that honors are granted to people who made relevant contributions to Mato Grosso. “These are people who helped develop and make Mato Grosso great. They are architects, traders, loggers, lawyers and professionals from various sectors who are here and deserve this recognition,” he said.
Born in São Sepé, in Rio Grande do Sul, the parliamentarian asked those present and the people of Mato Grosso to come together to help the population of that state, which is facing a catastrophe. He also spoke of the importance of the Conciliation Task Force carried out by the Mato Grosso Courts, which resolves environmental law cases, and asked for less bureaucracy. “Removing bureaucracy is important,” he argued.
The Dante de Oliveira Commendation, which is intended to honor personalities who have stood out in the defense of democracy and citizenship, was awarded to businessman and president of Sindmat (Union of Cargo Transport Companies in the State of MT), Eleus Vieria de Amorim . The Marechal Rondon Commendation was awarded to Ricardo do Val Raffa and Arnóbio Vieira de Andrade. It is intended to honor Brazilian or foreign personalities, civilians or military, who, due to personal merits or relevant services provided to the state of Mato Grosso, have deserved public recognition.
Honoree Eleus Vieira de Amorim said: “I bring this honor to the entire road transport sector in the state”. Ricardo do Val Raffa spoke of his joy at having his efforts recognized: “I feel recognized for all the efforts towards a more developed Mato Grosso”. And Airton Joab Gonçalves said that the honor increases his commitment to doing more for Mato Grosso. “I receive this title with the greatest pleasure, I love Mato Grosso and this title, in addition to satisfying us a lot, brings more responsibility to do more and more for our state”, said Airton.
The table of honor was made up of the following personalities: captain PM Neves, head of the 1st and 2nd Cavalry; Alessandra Saturnino Souza, PJC delegate; Carlos Brito, Secretary of Institutional Relations at TCE; Eleus Vieira, president of Sidmat; Marcelo Caetano Vachiano, prosecutor; Mário Kono, judge, substitute member of the TRE, president of Nupemes and member of the Chamber of Law; Mauren Lazzaretti, Secretary of State for the Environment; and Wladeck Duarte Júnior, retired delegate.
