According to information from journalist Eric Faria, Rodolfo Landim’s statements about Gabigol’s renewal “fell like a bomb” in the Football Department. This is because, for the directors, the situation between number 10 and Mais Querida was resolved, just awaiting the signature of the red-black president.

Furthermore, according to the journalist, Landim authorized Flamengo to move forward with Gabigol’s renewal. In other words, the agent agreed to the terms requested by number 10, but later went back. Since October 2023, the agenda on extending the player’s contract has been at a standstill.
