Sicredi, the first cooperative financial institution in Brazil, with more than 7.5 million members in the country and present in 26 states and the Federal District, plans to expand its physical presence in Espírito Santo in 2024. As expected by the institution, more than 20 New branches should be opened on Espírito Santo soil by the end of the year, totaling more than 60 service points. In relation to the Greater Vitória region, there will be six new points. In 2023, Sicredi reached 37 branches in 31 cities in the state of Espírito Santo, which represents an increase of more than 60% compared to the previous year and coverage of more than 40% of the Espírito Santo territory.

At a national level, with more than 40 openings already taking place in 2024, the institution currently has more than 2,700 branches, complementing the digital service available throughout the country. The projection is for another 190 new service points by the end of this year. “As we value proximity to members in the regions where we are present, the possibility of increasing our physical presence demonstrates Sicredi’s genuine interest in local development and the opportunity to offer financial solutions aligned to the different realities in the countryside and in cities. It is worth remembering that, in the last four years, around 780 new Brazilian municipalities began to count on the presence of Sicredi, with emphasis on the Southeast Region, in which the institution reached 338 new locations, including more than 30 cities in Espírito Santo where we operate,” comments the president of Central Sicredi Sul/Southeast, Márcio Port.

Sicredi in numbers and prospects for 2024

Sicredi’s financial solutions aim to meet the needs of members, having a direct impact on improving their quality of life, in addition to generating value for the locations where they live. In this sense, in 2024, the credit portfolio in Espírito Santo will reach R$1.8 billion, demonstrating the ability to support members and contribute to the economic development of Espírito Santo. At a national level, it totals more than R$215 billion. The outlook for the state is growth, a movement recorded since 2021. The same projection is made for total deposits, which are already approaching R$1 billion. The value, in Brazil, is more than R$225 billion. Another positive indicator in Espírito Santo is managed assets, which reach almost R$2 billion. At a national level, it is around R$330 billion.
