In a match played at the Kleber José de Andrade State Stadium, in Cariacica, Espírito Santo, Fluminense beat Sampaio Corrêa 2-0 thanks to goals from midfielder Lima and Colombian midfielder Jhon Arias. This result leaves Tricolor in a comfortable position for the second leg, guaranteeing classification even in the event of a defeat.
