Spanish journalist Marisa Martín Blázquez, 60, accused Quem magazine, from the Globo group, of having paid bail for Daniel Alves in exchange for an exclusive report. The information was released by the communicator during the “Fiesta” program, shown on Saturday, 30, and the excerpt is available on the Telecinco channel.

The bail, which was set at one million euros (around R$5.4 million), was paid on March 25, the same date that Daniel Alves left prison after being sentenced to four and a half years for rape. .

On the program, Marisa Blázquez stated that “Quem” magazine had paid the bail amount in exchange for an exclusive report that was being carried out at the former player’s home. “According to group sources, a video interview is being produced about the story of (Daniel) Alves, and the former athlete asked his wife Joana Sanz to participate,” she declared.

The journalist also added that the bail would have taken longer to be paid due to the fact that it was an international transfer, which made the bureaucratic process slower.

In a note released by Grupo Globo, Marisa Blázquez’s accusations were treated as “fake news”. “We do not pay for any report produced, given its journalistic nature”, she reiterated.

Grupo Globo also reported that Marisa Blázquez was not contacted for the information to be investigated. “We continue to believe that good journalism will never have room for paid reporting,” she concluded.
