Cuca announces decision on Flamengo’s jewel loaned to Athletico-PR

One of the revelations of Flamengo in season, Petterson is leaving the Athletico-PR.

The 20-year-old striker, who was loaned by Rubro-Negro to Furacão until end of 2024should be returned to the Rio team after being removed from the Paraná squad due to indiscipline.

“It’s out of the plans. It’s not my decision, it’s the board’s decision”, said the coach after the match against Operário-PR. “His manager even spoke to me, I went to see what the situation was like, but there was no going back. It’s a decision made.”

According to information released by the radio Band B, from Curitiba, Petterson would have returned outside of scheduled time to the accommodation at CT do Caju, where he lived during his time at the club. Soon after, the attacker was still late for an activity with the squad between the 12th and 17th of February.

The young man arrived at Furacão on January 31st.

Petterson was part of the Flamengo squad that competed in the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior, and also part of the squad that played in the initial rounds of the Campeonato Carioca.

In five matches, the striker scored one goal and made one assist. He has a contract with Flamengo until December 31, 2027.
