The black man identified as 53-year-old Frank Tyson — who died after being immobilized during a police approach in the United States —, he told agents eight times during the action that he could not breathe.
The case, which happened in a bar in the state of Ohio on April 18, became public on Thursday (25). Tyson was handcuffed in custody and a police officer placed his knee between the man’s neck and back. The entire action was recorded by body camera of one of the police officers.

The recorded video also shows the police officers talking about the incident after having immobilized the man. One asked if Tyson has “calmed down” yet and another claims he “he must have passed out”.
Eventually, the agents realized that the man was not responsive and called a medical team. According to the body camera records, the time between them realizing Tyson’s situation and the arrival of doctors was 13 minutes.
Tyson received cardiac massage and was taken to the hospital, but was declared dead in less than an hour after going to the emergency room, according to the TV channel CBS.
The incident to which the police were called was that of a alleged car accident, but they only found an abandoned vehicle. A witness pointed out the bar where Tyson was as the place where the person responsible for the accident would have gone.
That’s when the agents found Tyson, who reacted to the approach by refusing to leave the place. In a matter of seconds, the man was immobilized by two agents and handcuffed for another. A fourth officer held his knee against the victim’s upper body, between his neck and back.
