Actor Jude Law became unrecognizable to play King Henry VIII (1491-1547) in the period drama ‘Firebrand’ (2024). The film directed by Brazilian filmmaker Karim Aïnouz is centered on the efforts of the monarch’s wife, Catarina Parr (1512-1548), played by Alicia Vikander, to survive her husband’s untimely acts.

The first preview of the production draws attention to Jude Law’s physical transformation to bring the 15th century monarch to life.
