A Samsung is bringing another great new feature to its users with the arrival of One UI 6.1. The update that brings several new features to smartphones that have already been launched by the brand has already started to be released for some models. It is worth remembering that the One UI 6.1 update is based on Android 14. Only One UI 7 should be developed under Android 15, which will still be officially launched between August and October 2024.

What’s new in One UI 6.1?

Samsung’s One UI 6.1 brings several new features, including the introduction of Galaxy AI on selected models, especially the powerful ones from the Galaxy S line. Additionally, there are improvements such as a shortcut for quick Google search using circular gesture items on the screen and instant slow motion.

The update also brings the Samsung Find to replace SmartThings Find, in addition to editing sync Samsung Studio between devices, support HDR for social networks and option to hide the navigation bar by gestures.

When will my phone receive One UI 6.1?

The distribution of One UI 6.1 began at the end of March for some models, such as the Galaxy S23, S23+, S23 Ultra, S23 FE, Z Flip 5, Z Fold 5, Tab S9, Tab S9+ and Tab S9 Ultra. Samsung later announced that the update would be expanded to other models in May, including the Galaxy S22, S22+ and S22 Ultra, as well as the Z Fold 4, Z Flip 4 and Tab S8, S8+ and S8 Ultra.
