Deadline for declaring Income Tax is extended for 336 municipalities in the South; check out

The Federal Revenue announced the extension of the deadline this Monday, 6th, due to the impacts of the floods in Rio Grande do Sul

The Federal Revenue announced, on the night of this Monday, 6th, that it extended the deadline for sending Income Tax declarations to 336 municipalities in Rio Grande do Sul, which are the most affected by the floods since the end of April. The measure was published in Official Diary of the Union.

The new deadline will be August 31st. In other locations, the deadline remains the same as previously established by the Revenue: May 31st.

The measure adopted based on an ordinance from the Ministry of Finance and a State Decree also applies to other taxes. Federal taxes due in April, May and June 2024 will be extended to the last business day of July, August and September 2024, respectively.

Furthermore, the deadlines for carrying out procedural acts within the scope of the Federal Revenue of Brazil, in relation to administrative processes of interest to taxpayers domiciled in the affected municipalities, will be suspended until May 31, 2024.
