Belgrade (Serbia) – The news that Goran Ivanisevic is no longer Novak Djokovic’s coach fell like a bomb last Wednesday and new information quickly emerged about the future of the Serb’s team. According to Sportal, the leader of the ranking did not define a new name, although he was seen training with his compatriot Nenad Zimonjic, former number 1 in the world in doubles and former Serbian captain in the Davis Cup.

While a new coach is not defined, he will be accompanied by his brother Marko. Physiotherapists Miljan Amanović and Claudio Cimalja will take turns working and Marko Paniki, physical trainer, is also with Djokovic now in Belgrade, where he trained with him this Thursday under the eyes of Zimonjic. On the other side of the court, fellow Serbian Dusan Lajovic participated in ‘Nole’s’ preparation for the clay season.

At the end of last year, Djokovic had already begun changes to his team, ending his partnership with his long-time manager, Italian Eduardo Artaldi and his partner Elena Cappellaro, after the Paris Masters 1000. “We remain friends, but professionally we decided to go our separate ways. I’m entering a new chapter off the court. The transition is not easy, but I am moving forward,” Novak said at the time.
