One of Athletico’s reinforcements for the season, striker Petterson is out of the plans and will be returned to Flamengo. Loaned until the end of 2024, the 20-year-old athlete played just one game with the Furacão shirt, scoring a goal in the 2-1 victory over Londrinabut off-field problems made the board rule out keeping him in the group.
“He’s already out, it’s not my thing. It was the board’s decision. His manager spoke to me, I went to check on him, but there’s no way back. It’s a decision made“, said coach Cuca, after the 1-0 victory over Operário, on Wednesday (27), at the Ligga Arena.
At the end of February, Petterson was removed from the Rubro-Negro squad. The athlete allegedly committed two infractions, which led the club to return him to Flamengo. The attacker lived at the CT do Caju facilities and ended up returning after the established time. As a result, he ended up missing training time, arriving late for activities.
Short period at Athletico
In total, it was less than two months playing for Athletico. Petterson was announced by Hurricane on January 31st. The indiscipline occurred between the 12th and 17th of February and, since then, he has not been linked to for any match, neither by former coach Juan Carlos Osorio nor by Cuca.
