The best surfer on the second day of the Gold Coast Pro 2024 was Deivid Silva. The Brazilian destroyed the Australian right hands of Snapper Rocks with powerful backside maneuvers, scored two marks in the excellent criteria and won the heat valid for the second phase. This Sunday (28/4) the WSL held all 16 heats of the round and Deivid was one of 9 Brazilians who advanced in the competition. Duels were held in waves of about 1 meter in long series.

Deivid debuted on drums at 6 of the 30 minutes. He opened the presentation with two strong and vertical hits, then the right hit fell a little, but he still made three more attacks to leave with 5.67 points. Two minutes later he hit and tore hard in a performance of six maneuvers to win 8.00 points. With 3 minutes to go, leader and with priority, the Brazilian performed again and was even better to score 8.60 after performing eight maneuvers. The total of 16.60 points is the highest of the stage so far.
