Brusque Basquete suffered its second defeat in the Brazilian Championship of the Brazilian Basketball Confederation (CBB). The team from Santa Catarina was two points behind on the scoreboard (81 to 83) against Basquete Santos, on Wednesday night, at Arena Brusque.
This is the second time that the São Paulo team has beaten a team from Santa Catarina in the competition. Santos beat Blumenau, away from home, 86 to 72 in the last round. Brusque had lost to Sorocaba 55 to 70.
In the match at Vale do Itajaí, the MVP of the match went to Gabriel, from Basquete Santos. Brito from Brusque Basquete was the top scorer with 29 points scored.
Brusque is in 3rd place in the Macarrão Conference with four points, while Santos is leader with seven points.
On Tuesday, Brusque travels to Osasco to face the São Paulo club, at 7:30 pm (Brasília time). Santos only plays on April 18th, also against Osasco, but at home.
