Cruzeiro idol and Ronaldo’s strike partner at Toca da Raposa in 1993 and 1994, Roberto Gaúcho used Instagram this Saturday (27) to celebrate the possible purchase of shares in Sociedade Anônima do Futebol by businessman Pedro Lourenço.
Roberto Gaúcho had been systematically criticizing Ronaldo’s management at SAF, mainly due to the lack of bolder investments in the squad.
When celebrating the possible purchase of 90% of the shares by Pedrinho, Roberto Gaúcho poked his former teammate and called him a “Corinthian”.
The irony refers to Ronaldo’s successful spell at Corinthians between 2009 and 2011, when he became an idol and fan of the São Paulo club. At Timão, Fenômeno won the Copa do Brasil and the Campeonato Paulista in 2009. At the club, he scored 35 goals in 69 games.
“Speak up, Blue Nation. I’m looking forward to it here at home. Just waiting for the definition. A passionate, competent and enlightened guy, Pedrinho from Supermercado BH. I hope he buys the SAF, then we’ll be giants again, winning the Libertadores, the Brazilian Championship, making it back to the Olympics, so the fans can smile again. I thank you, Ronaldo, Corinthian. Now it’s Pedrinho’s turn”, said Gaúcho.
Together in Cruzeiro’s attack, Ronaldo and Roberto Gaúcho won the 1994 Minas Gerais Championship.
