X says that those investigated by the STF try to circumvent blocking orders

The warning appears in a statement sent to the Supreme Court by the law firm that represents X in Brazil after Alexandre de Moraes asked for clarification on the report in which the Federal Police (PF) indicated that investigated users continue to carry out live broadcasts and interactions with Brazilian users on the social network.

“These individuals, after having their accounts blocked, adopted different strategies to defy the blocking order and also the platforms’ rules, by creating new accounts and exploiting systemic vulnerabilities to perpetuate their activities,” said the X.

The social network also stated that access to the accounts of other people under investigation occurred due to seasonal errors and does not represent non-compliance with orders from the Supreme Court. “The observed discrepancy was the result of an isolated technical problem, with no intention by the X operators to circumvent or in any way disrespect current court decisions,” said the network.

In the report sent last week by the PF to Minister Alexandre de Moraes, investigators cited posts and transmissions made by users investigated in the investigation into digital militias living in the United States, such as journalists Allan dos Santos and Rodrigo Constantino and businessman Paulo Figueiredo.

According to the survey, carried out by the PF at the beginning of this month, it was possible to access transmissions made by users from Brazil and follow blocked profiles. In the PF’s assessment, those under investigation continue to broadcast and post outside Brazil with attacks on the minister and disseminating false information.
