Sudeco (Superintendence for the Development of the Center-West) announced this Thursday (25) the approval of a prior consultation with the Concessionary Company of the MS-306 Highway, Way 306, for financing of up to R$85.3 million. The resources come from the FDCO (Central-West Development Fund) and are aimed at the modernization, recovery, conservation, maintenance, operation, improvements and expansion of the capacity of the highway system on MS-306.

Since 2020, Way-306 has managed a 219.5-kilometer extension of the MS-306 highway from km zero to the junction with BR-158, including municipalities in the northeast of the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, such as Costa Rica, Chapadão do Sul and Cassilândia. Despite the approved financing of R$85.3 million, the total investment required for the project is estimated at R$170.7 million.

The prior consultation certifies that the project complies with the priorities established by the Sudeco board for the application of Fund resources in the 2024 financial year. The approval will be valid for 150 days. Now, the concessionary company must look for a banking institution of its choice to obtain financing with a view to preparing the respective project.

“It is a prior consultation that also goes through all the other surveys that are now carried out between the company and the bank, to understand whether the company actually has the guarantees that the bank requires. Everything above 50 million has to go through our collegial that is this prior consultation. And now the sequence is direct with the bank. This process is done like any other, everyone who presents the consultation letter, which comes to us, has to be deliberated”, explained the Sudeco superintendent, Rose Modesto.
