Two young women died after a car overturned on a curve in the Córrego Giral community, in Jaguaré, North of the State, on Saturday night (4). They were identified as Gabrielly Alves dos Santos and Graziela Segantini Corrêia, aged 17, both students on the Integrated Mining technical course at Ifes in Nova Venécia. A third victim was rescued and taken to the emergency room, and was later taken to Roberto Silvares Hospital, in São Mateus.

On social media, Ifes mourned the death of the two students, expressing solidarity with the families and friends of the young women.

According to the Military Police, as soon as they arrived at the scene, the team tried to contact the driver of the vehicle. However, he reportedly left the scene of the accident after providing assistance to the victims.

Also according to the PM, a fifth person who was in the car reported that the group was traveling on the road, heading towards the Córrego Giral community, when the driver lost control on a sharp curve, overturned and fell with the car into a stream on the banks. of the road. The 44-year-old man said that he and the driver, with the help of members of the public, removed the other occupants from inside the car.

The Military Police informed, also in a note, that, as soon as the garrison arrived at the scene of the accident, agents from the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) were already present and confirmed the death of two women.

The Scientific Police (PCIES) reported that the investigation was called on Saturday night (4), around 9 pm, for an incident involving a fatal fall, in Jaguaré. The bodies of the victims were sent to the Legal Medical Service (SML) of Linhares, for a cadaveric examination to be carried out, which will identify the cause of death. The Civil Police (PCES) said that the case will be forwarded to the Jaguaré Police Station, which will carry out the other steps that the case requires.
