A 34-year-old man was arrested for threatening his ex-wife, 29, with death after she refused to resume their relationship. The case happened this Tuesday (2) in Caroebe, a municipality located south of Roraima.
The suspect was arrested around 8pm, after the victim contacted the Military Police. To the police, the woman told him that he had gone to her house, drunk, and asked to resume the relationship, which she denied.
The man then grabbed a knife and shouted that he would kill her, as well as swearing at the victim. He even ran after the woman, who managed to escape and report the threat to the military police.
As a result, officers went to the location and found the suspect. He tried to escape, but was handcuffed and taken to the police station.
During his arrest, he continued shouting and threatening his ex-wife with death. The victim’s cell phone was found on him and the knife used to threaten the woman was found behind her house.
