Transparency portals: Sergipe bodies must start self-assessment | F5 News

The self-evaluation stage of the transparency portals of public bodies in Sergipe began this Monday, 29th, according to the schedule defined in the National Public Transparency Program (PNTP), Cycle 2024, conducted at the local level by the State Court of Auditors (TCE /SE), through the External Control of Works and Services Directorate (Dceos).

Until May 17th, internal controllers and others responsible for the Executive, Legislative and Judiciary branches, as well as the Public Ministry and the Public Defender’s Office, must access the Avalia System​, a tool used to carry out evaluations.

The link to access the System and a series of guidelines for those responsible for transparency in the entities assessed are contained in an Alert sent by the Court of Auditors to those under its jurisdiction.

“It is important that management units begin this self-evaluation process in order to obtain the best possible result; a high degree of transparency allows society to exercise social control and increases confidence in management”, highlights the president of the TCE, counselor Susana Azevedo.

In the next stage, the Court of Auditors will validate the information gathered in this phase of the self-assessment.

The PNTP follows the guidelines imposed by the Fiscal Responsibility Law and the Access to Information Law. At the end of the action, the Public Transparency Quality Seal will be awarded to those bodies that meet the Program’s minimum requirements.​

The initiative is from the Association of Members of the Audit Courts of Brazil (Atricon), with the Audit Courts of the State of Mato Grosso (TCE-MT) and the Union (TCU), and support from the Rui Barbosa Institute (IRB), the Brazilian Association of Municipal Audit Courts (Abracom), the National Council of Presidents of Audit Courts (CNPTC) and the National Internal Control Council (Conaci).
