Young entrepreneurs and participants in the Afro-entrepreneurship program Igualando Oportunidades, Hulda Rode, Guilherme Vicente de Moraes and Yuri Assini, were present at the 6th edition of Campus Party Brasília (CPBSB6), held at Mané Garrincha, which brought together thousands of technology and innovation enthusiasts and creativity. This year, the event was themed To infinity and beyond (To infinity and beyond, translated into Portuguese), linked to astronomy, in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Brasília Luiz Cruls Planetarium.

The young entrepreneurs’ startups, Escreva and Ex Devedor, caught the public’s attention. For Hulda, writer and co-founder of the Escreva platform, which connects new authors to the publishing market, highlighted the importance of Campus Party as a showcase for her company.

Yuri, founder of Ex Devedor, a financial education startup that helps people in debt, experienced a special moment when he returned to Campus Party, the place where the company was born in the 2022 Business Marathon. “Being here exhibiting is really cool, because it was where it all started”, reports Yuri. He also thanked the Igualando Oportunidades project for its support in professionalizing the startup and achieving significant results.

Cristiane Pereira, coordinator of the Igualando Oportunidades project, shows great satisfaction when seeing the professional growth of students. “It’s gratifying to see Hulda and Yuri shining at Campus Party. The project seeks to offer tools for young people like them to achieve their dreams and contribute to the development of society.”

For Leonardo Reisman, Secretary of Science, Technology and Innovation of the Federal District, the presence of entrepreneurs and startups at events dedicated to the sector is essential. He highlights that such occasions serve as unique platforms for forming strategic partnerships, developing management skills and business models, monitoring by specialized mentors and expanding contact networks. Reisman emphasizes that, whether for new entrepreneurs looking to open their businesses or for those already running their companies, participation in these events is vital. It offers the chance to attract new investments and assimilate excellent practices in the world of entrepreneurship.

The participation of students in Campus Party 2024 proves the potential of the Igualando Oportunidades project in boosting the careers of talented young people and promoting social transformation through technology and innovation.
