In addition to shooting, Cristiano Alves Terto hits the head of the man accused of killing his father. He tried to escape, but was arrested, according to the Pernambuco Military Police. He was taken to the municipal police station and charged in the act. The police also seized a revolver from him.
Francisco Cleidivaldo Mariano de Moura survived. He was initially taken to the São José de Belmonte Hospital. Afterwards, he was transferred to Serra Talhada Hospital.

Shooter is arrested
Shooter remains in prison. In March of this year, the defense filed a request for habeas corpus. Cristiano’s lawyer claimed that “there is no indication” that his freedom poses a risk to the guarantee of public order or criminal investigation. “For these reasons, he requests the revocation of precautionary custody, with the consequent issuance of a release permit in favor of the accused”, says an excerpt from the statement sent to TJPE. The request was denied by the Pernambuco Court.
Cristiano Terto is accused of attempted qualified homicide. According to the complaint, “the motivation for the crime was revenge, given that the accused’s father was the victim of a homicide committed years ago, the authorship of which was attributed to Francisco Cleidivaldo, who was being tried in a formal jury session.”
