Man is stabbed in the back during fight over fishing net on beach in SC
In addition to the suspect arrested for the stabbings, his brother, who was in a physical fight with the murder victim moments before, is being investigated. The man’s conduct will be investigated by failure to provide assistance.

When and where did the crime happen?
The homicide took place on Saturday (30), around 3 pm, in the Garopaba do Sul neighborhood, in Jaguaruna, on the Santa Catarina Coast, according to the PM’s report.
Who is the murdered victim?
The victim was identified by a local funeral home as Alexandre Porto Feliciano, 32 years old.
What motivated the aggression?
According to delegate Gabriela Tisott Fruet, who is following the case, the victim was arguing with a man over a fishing net when she was struck by the suspect. “The allegations [sobre a motivação] are different between the parties”, said the investigator. The case continues to be investigated.
In the images circulating on the internet and sent to the Judiciary by the Civil Police, Feliciano appears carrying fishing nets and a kayak down the street. He stops at a certain point, drops the materials and begins to argue with a man who approaches right behind.
The two get into a physical fight. Then, the brother of the man who was fighting with Feliciano approaches and hits the victim in the abdomen and wrist. Feliciano gets up, but falls again and dies on the spot.
Who are those involved in the crime?
The identities of the brothers who were involved in the fight were not disclosed. On Saturday (30), the man who struck the victim was arrested in Içara, hours after the crime. The other is being investigated for failure to provide assistance.
