A 45-year-old man was arrested red-handed, in Novo Aripuanã, in the interior of Amazonas, suspected of raping his own wife, just 20 years old. The case happened on Friday (29th), but was only reported by the Civil Police this Monday (1st).
According to police chief Ramon Sampaio, at the time of the crime, the man took the victim, against his will, to a room in the house where they lived. There, he sexually assaulted her and physically assaulted her before fleeing.
“Soon after the crime, the victim reported the incident and we began investigations. The young woman had a deep cut on her arm,” said the delegate.
According to the police authority, during the investigation the author was located and arrested in the act.
He was taken to the police unit headquarters where he was charged with rape. The arrest was converted into preventive by the Judiciary and he will now be at the disposal of Justice.
