Asa Norte Church will distribute blessed pens to contestants

Candidates registered for the Unified National Competition (CNU) will be entitled to blessed pens distributed by the São José Operário Parish, in Asa Norte, in Brasília, at the masses scheduled for this Wednesday (1/5). According to the church, a thousand ballpoint pens will be given to the faithful who will take part in the event, scheduled for this Sunday (5/5).

The initiative, according to Father Ricardo Ferreira, is far from becoming an incentive for luck. “It’s not an amulet or some superstition. They’re blessings”, defined the parish priest. “We know that this test (CNU) is highly anticipated by students and those looking for a new job opportunity. Therefore, we decided to give this special blessing so that they can leave confident and calm,” he continued.

In addition to the pens distributed, the faithful — contestant or not — can take other objects to be blessed. This includes badges, keys, work cards, pendants, photos and resumes. These blessings, as well as the distribution of pens, will be carried out at the end of the masses.

Those interested in counting on that divine strength when taking the “Enem dos Concursos” or for other professional life challenges, such as getting a job or seeking new achievements, should attend the São José Operário Parish, at Wednesday masses. There are two time options: 10am or at night at 7pm.
