The Tocantins Scientific and Technological Support Foundation (Fapto), with the support of Finep, opens one of the largest Innovation Centers in Tocantins this Wednesday, the 3rd, at 3 pm. The ceremony will be attended by the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Luciana Santos, the president of Finep, Celso Pansera, the governor of Tocantins, Wanderley Barbosa, and other authorities and representatives from various sectors.
The space, carefully designed to boost entrepreneurship, promote technological development and innovation, is located on the premises of the Tocantins Scientific and Technological Support Foundation (Fapto), located on block Orla 14, close to Praia da Graciosa.
With a creative design, the space will feature cutting-edge equipment and highly qualified professionals, highlighting InovaFapto as one of the main innovation centers in the State. The total investment for the project is estimated at around R$4.5 million.
Managed by Fapto, the environment will strengthen local companies and attract new ventures aimed at developing technology solutions in the public and private sectors, universities and Research Centers. “InovaFapto will directly contribute to improving the competitiveness of companies, in addition to stimulating the economic development of the State, by promoting entrepreneurship and innovation”, believes the general director of Fapto, Léo Araújo.
Its structure covers a built area of 800 m², including a mini auditorium, meeting room, coworking, hardware and software laboratories, maker space, rooms dedicated to incubating Technology-Based Companies and accelerating Startups. It also offers spaces for medium and large companies interested in participating in projects at InovaFapto, as well as developing corporate venture and open innovation initiatives.
With the inauguration of InovaFapto, Tocantins takes a significant step towards strengthening innovation and technological development, consolidating itself as a reference hub on the national scene.
